THE SORRY STATE OF INDIAN FOOTBALL

2024 have been an year which no Indian Football Fan would like to remember. It is because it has been an year wherein we failed to win a single game in an entire year. Yes. You read it right. 2024 was a winless year for us. Though we drew a few games here and there, but we failed to register a single win which is shocking and disappointing. To add more woes to our miseries, our charismatic Leader Sunil Chhetri hanged his boots mid-year. His retirement has come at a time wherein our Team is at its lowest.

Currently we are in a such a bad condition that it looks impossible for us to win even a single game. Our Team right now requires a lot of rebuilding and restructuring. We need to bring new players and drop the underperforming ones. 

The good thing right now is that the International Team has got a big break before the next fixture. Hence, it is important for the Management to take some tough decisions before it is too late. The Indian Football Team is in a Sorry State. We have to act quick before its too late.   

THE HANSI FLICK ERA

At the conclusion of the 2023-24 Season, FC Barcelona parted ways with Xavi and appointed Hansi Flick as their New Manager. It was a controversial decision as Xavi was doing a great job. Afterall he was an instrumental figure in their 2022-23 La Liga Triumph.  However he was quite vocal against the Barcelona Management. Hence, his sacking was imminent and the same did bring enormous criticism to the Board.  

Post Xavi's departure, German Hansi Flick took over as the Manager of the struggling Barcelona Side. The pressure was huge. It was indeed a crown of thorns. However, what happened next was truly unbelievable. He actually turned the club upside down. F.C. Barcelona since Flick's appointment have been playing a brand of football which has brought a shiver to the spine of entire Europe. Afterall they are constantly demolishing their opponents match after match. 

Be it Munich or Madrid, each one of them have been reduced to dust. Currently F.C. Barcelona is leading in both La Liga and Champions League. Yes. They have suffered a few defeats in between, but their style of football has taken everyone by storm. 

It is interesting to note that F.C. Barcelona last won a UCL Title in 2015. Will they end their UCL drought this year? The answer lies in the womb of time. But, for the time being everything's good in Camp Nou.
