The first month of the English Premier League has come to an end and after 5 games Chelsea F.C. are struggling in the middle of the table. After winning against Everton and a thrilling draw against Tottenham, everything has been down the hill for the 2020-21 UCL winners.

The Blues lost badly to Leeds United in an away game. Furthermore, they also struggled against the Foxes. But they were lucky enough to win that home game with barest of margins. However, the same did not happen against Southampton and the Blues lost their second game of the season.

At the end of 5 games Chelsea F.C. have earned 7 points and are currently placed 8th in the table. This is something which we did not expect from the Blues. If we closely look into the Chelsea side, we will find that they desperately need a striker who can convert the chances which their mid-field creates.

The transfer window closes today. Let's see will they sign someone at the very last moment. Till then one can only hope and pray for a miracle.

Everyone expected it to be a close contest and indeed it turned out to be one.  Chelsea FC created a lot of chances. However they were denied every time by the Everton defense. Eventually just before half time they succeeded in getting a penalty which Jorginho converted into a goal.

In the second half, both the teams tried to break each others defense. But, no one succeeded. As a result at the end of 90 minutes the scorecard read Chelsea 1- 0 Everton. It was not a very beautiful game to watch. But, every Chelsea supporter is happy for winning the opening game in a such a tricky venue.

It has been 56 years since England won a last major football tournament.  The venue of the same was Wembley and the opponents were West Germany. Today 56 years later, the English Women's Football Team has won the UEFA Women's Championship in Wembley against Germany and has ended the country's long trophy drought.  Last year the men's team reached the final of the European Championship, but were beaten by the Italians in their own backyard.

However the women's team went a step further and has brought the trophy back home. Furthermore it is pertinent to note that the hosts [England] remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. In the group stage they beat Austria, Norway and Northern Ireland to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament.

In the quarterfinals they came from behind and beat the title favorites Spain 2-1 in the extra-time.

The semi-final was a one sided affair as they knocked Sweden out 4-0.

In the finals, the hosts were facing heavyweights Germany. As a result everyone expected an exciting contest. And Boy. What a game it was. The English scored the opening goal as Ella Toone chipped above the goalkeeper. However the Germans [Lina Magull] scored an equalizer and the game went to extra-time. Eventually in the 110th minute of the game Chloe Kelly scored the second goal for English and the hosts were leading again.  The Germans tried their best to get past the English defense. But, they failed.

When the final whistle was blown, Wembley erupted in joy. After all the trophy has come back home.
